Sent Via U.S. MailThe Honorable Ron Klein313 Cannon House Office BuildingWashington, D.C. 20515Re: Uncertainty in 2011 Tax LawDear Representative Klein:I enjoyed meeting you last month at the Deerfield Beach Chamber of Commerce member breakfast. At the member breakfast, I briefly discussed with you my concern about the uncertainty surrounding the estate tax.My clients, many of whom are your constituents, and I want more certainty regarding the estate tax, but also regarding the gift tax, generation-skipping transfer tax, and income tax. Regarding the estate tax, gift tax, and generation-skipping transfer tax, we want certainty as to the 2011 exemption amounts and rates. Regarding the income tax, we want certainty regarding the extent to which the current rates and brackets will remain in 2011.As a tax attorney, I urge you to do your share in enacting legislation that will provide certainty in the federal tax law for 2011.Thank you for your service to South Florida and to the United States. I wish you the best of luck in the upcoming election.
Sincerely,
Neil I. Rumbak
