Florida Will Exempt Soccer and NBA All-Star Game Admission Fees from Admissions Tax
On May 12, 2014, Florida Governor Rick Scott signed into law HB 231, which among other minor changes to Fla. Stat. § 212.04(2)(a), will exempt the following professional sporting events from admissions tax:(a) Major League Soccer all-star games; and(b) all-start events produced by the NBA.This act will take effect on July 1, 2014.
